"Have You Seen My Country Lately?"

Edited by Vice President and Senior Editor Mitchell Ivers of Threshold Editions, this book explores his childhood in Brooklyn to his career in aviation, his time on Wall Street, morphing into one of the lead actors on the Emmy winning TV series Babylon 5, stepping into the political arena as the Hollywood Republican Nominee for Congress in the 2000 election and now the host of the 7th largest syndicated talk show host in America* in 5 short years. Jerry Doyle's experiences from career-to-career and coast-to-coast have molded his political opinions and made him one of the most popular radio hosts in America.

Now, Doyle brings his trademark wit to the page, tackling issues like the financial crisis, American sovereignty, 60's radical America alive and well today and much more. Using humorous anecdotes from Doyle's colorful life, "Have You Seen My Country Lately?" features chapters such as "Smoke for the Children," "Where's my Fatwa," "The Tyranny of the Minority," "Timothy Leary is not Dead," "Economic Fascism," and "You're Not Someone Special," Doyle delves into the absurdity of government policies, while bringing key issues to light and offering solutions to bring about the change we need.

Doyle says, "This is the kind of book my 4'10" Liberal Democrat Irish Catholic East Coast mom will read and probably still invite me to Thanksgiving Dinner. Maybe even at the adults table this year."

Anthony Ziccardi, Vice President and Associate Publisher of Threshold Editions, announced that this book will be published in hardcover and available in January 2010.

Doyle is best known for playing the character of Michael Garibaldi on the Emmy Award winning TV series Babylon 5. In July of 1992, Doyle shot the pilot for Babylon 5, and in 1998, completed his 110th episode of the hit series landing Doyle on the cover of TV Guide Magazine. The real Jerry Doyle is not far removed from the character that he played, as they both uphold high standards, are outspoken and live with vivid pasts. The Jerry Doyle Show is a mix of politics, pop culture and current events. Doyle's strong opinions, diverse background and quick wit can appeal to all listening audiences.

At the height of a successful ten-year career on Wall Street, Doyle decided on a new challenge. "I was 35 years old and in a position to take a shot at whatever I wanted to try," says Doyle. "The Air Force said I was too old to fly fighter jets. I thought about becoming a fishing boat captain, before deciding that acting seemed pretty cool," said Doyle.

In 1991, he packed up and headed to Hollywood. With no prior acting experience, Doyle hit the streets and phones with a vengeance. Within weeks of arriving in Los Angeles, he landed his first job. He was hired as a "day player" on The Bold and the Beautiful, this role lasted almost a year. He then went on to star in the long-running sci-fi series Babylon 5. After the success of Babylon 5, Doyle starred in the TNT original movies The River of Souls, A Call to Arm and to play many other roles.

Taking a hiatus from acting in 2000, Doyle pursued yet another personal goal. A long time political junkie, he ran for the U.S House of Representatives for California¹s 24th District. While the March primary saw him become the Republican Congressional Nominee, in the November election race he came up short.

Doyle grew up in Brooklyn, NY, the eldest son of a police officer and a stay-at-home mom. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, while also receiving his flight training. After graduation, he joined the marketing and sales division of Falcon Jet Corporation.

Doyle starred in Code Hunter, Devious Beings and The Long Ride Home. His series work includes: NYPD Blue, JAG, Martial Law, Sliders, Beverly Hills 90210, Homefront, and Reasonable Doubts. Doyle has also done extensive voice over work on the animated series, Duckman, and Captain Simian, along with numerous national commercial voice campaigns.

Active in the community, Doyle has served as President of the Easter Seal Society, Children's Hospital Board of Trustees and the Multiple Sclerosis Board of Directors. He has raised funds for many charities including Disabled American Veterans, UCLA Medical Center, Breast Cancer, Aids Walk-LA, Cystic Fibrosis and the Motion Picture and Television Fund. He has received numerous awards and accolades including Honorary F-16 Test Pilot, Honorary Naval Aviator and Distinguished Supporter of the Nation's Space Program.
